Archery like in the Middle Ages
Intuitive archery doesn't have any helps such as sight picture with modern bows. Develop a feeling for the bow and you’ll be surprised how fast your accuracy improves after a short practice period.
Training
An expert guide will introduce you to the art of archery giving the participants valuable tips and tricks.
Equipment
- Four English longbows made from rattan (large bows for men)
- Four English longbows made from rattan (smaller version for ladies and younger participants)
- Wooden arrows with metal points
- Underarm protectors
- Up to four wooden stands
- Up to four straw mats
- Up to four targets made from straw
Note
- This activity can only be held under the supervision of our guides.
- In case of precipitation both the launching point and the targets have to be covered by tents (see 'Optional Extras'). Alternatively the activity is held indoors.
