Your team will plan and execute their own timber sculpture project with the help of an experienced carpenter. It all starts with a brainstorming about ideas on the design. The design has to follow the theme your company has chosen e.g. 'growth'. Having considered the contributions of each team member the best design is chosen and realised.
Depending on the number of participants, several groups can be formed, each working on a part of the same structure. This will require a well-oiled flow of information.

You are free to choose from various kinds of timber, even a whole trunk to produce a totem pole. Qualified staff are present throughout to advise the participants.

Options on how to carry out the task

It is up to you how much help you want your group to get, both in terms of machinery or staff assistance.

• Option 1: No machines are used at all, working only with manual tools such as handheld saw, plane, drill and sanding paper.
• Option 2: Handheld technical tools like milling cutter and fret saw are allowed. The challenge is held in a carpenter’s workshop
• Option 3: The challenge is held on your company premises and the carpenter provides all materials and tools.

Suggested locations

The challenge in Option 1 can be held in most rooms or even outdoors. For the option using machinery a carpenter's workshop is the ideal place for the task. We are happy to suggest suitable locations to you.
