Cooking Soup in a Winter Forest
The winter experience in the forest
Having a wander on snowshoes through a winter forest is ever so relaxing. We recommend a short snowshoe walk of about 45 minutes each way. Of course, the duration of the walk is entirely left to you. Every 10 participants form a cooking team. Each team carries the cooking utensils shared between their rucksacks, which causes a minimal load for each participant.
At the cooking site
Once the fire is lit and the tripod is standing the soup cauldron is suspended on a chain above the fire. The ingredients for the soup have been prepared and chopped up beforehand. We recommend a sumptuous minestrone or a hearty barley soup in which the sausages are also heated up. This is served with fresh bread and tea. On request we are happy to serve mulled wine or punch with this meal.
